Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca announced on Friday that Cole Palmer is ready to play for the squad's vital Premier League match against local rivals Arsenal.

The 23-year-old English midfielder was out of action due to a broken toe suffered after an unfortunate occurrence.

“He is fit to begin and feature,” Maresca said. “All involved are pleased.”

In the current campaign, Palmer has made only four appearances in all tournaments, scoring twice.

After joining from Manchester City in the previous year, he has recorded 45 goals and 29 assists in 101 appearances for Chelsea.

“He is our top performer, we are pleased he is back, we need to provide him with time to be 100% fit,” Maresca added. “His past performances have been excellent and no doubt he is going to do very good for this club in the future.”

Second Story: Everton Get No Explanation for Failed Idrissa Gueye Dismissal Challenge

The Merseyside club have failed in their appeal against Idrissa Gueye's red card for a physical confrontation with fellow player Michael Keane during the squad's 1-0 victory at Old Trafford.

The veteran Senegal midfielder was dismissed just early on into the match after striking Keane amid a dispute over a poor pass.

Gueye immediately apologized, and the teammates appeared reconciled afterwards in a mock social media video.

However, the appeal against the red card was turned down, and Gueye must serve a three-game suspension, making Everton short-staffed for their next fixture against Newcastle United.

“We have appealed it and our appeal was turned down,” manager the manager said. “We haven’t been given any reason why it was turned down but we did appeal it.”

When asked about additional consequences from the incident, Moyes added: “It was over immediately, it was done, that was it, we moved on quite quickly and it was all sorted within the team environment.”

Third Story: Yoane Wissa Trains with Newcastle for Initial Session since Injury

The club's recent signing Yoane Wissa has trained with his squad for the initial occasion since sustaining a knee problem shortly after his move from his former club in the autumn.

Additionally, the defender will be out of action for a four-week period with a hamstring injury.

West Ham United head coach Nuno Espírito Santo has claimed that the reigning champions' current slump “is largely irrelevant” as his team prepares to face the struggling Premier League title holders.

5. Morgan Gibbs-White Could Feature for Nottingham Forest against Brighton

The club's boss Sean Dyche is optimistic that Morgan Gibbs-White will be ready for the side's home match against Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

The England international missed Thursday's European game against Malmö due to a back injury.

The defender was feeling his hamstring muscle after the 3-0 European win, but Dyche indicated the player “will likely be available”.

Meanwhile, the full-back (thigh injury), Douglas Luiz (thigh), the winger (hamstring), the striker (knee), and Oleksandr Zinchenko (hip) are likely to be unavailable.

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner feels that the setback of Thursday's Conference League defeat to Strasbourg is a sign of how much progress the club has come in competing on two fronts.
