I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
