Los Angeles witnessed widespread festivities after the Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-game World Series title. Supporters worldwide united with Angelenos in jubilation, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Attracts Enormous Crowds
Local events featured a downtown parade on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Social media videos depict thousands of Los Angeles residents flooding downtown streets, many displaying handmade banners and team flags. The squad was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy proudly.
“My focus is already about the third time we’re going to do this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an interpreter.
The parade route ended at Dodger Stadium, where the players walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and the artist driving a light blue classic car around the field.

Celebrations started prior to the parade, with supporters lighting fireworks in the streets of Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The championship acted as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An approximate 225,000 people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, supporters this year demonstrated as much if not more enthusiasm.
“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” Freeman said. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
